This volley-the-ball game was indeed strange. It did not look like too difficult of a concept to grasp. From the quick explanation the striped man gave before commencing the start of the match, Alpha 001 would understand the basic rules of the game. Watching the fellow players actions gives Alpha 001 some mixed information on how to execute the rules, but it would appear that three hits is the maximum number of times the ball can be hit before it is required to go over the net. The only exception would appear to be when the ‘serve’ occurs, where a player must make the ball cross the net in one hit. A strange game, indeed, but nothing unlearnable for Alpha 001.

It stays back for the first couple of rounds, observing and learning from its teammates as well as its opponents. Once the android has decided it had gained all of the information it required, it simply waits for an opportunity to test its newly gained knowledge. Just moments later, an opponent strikes the ball at a downward angle with force.

Judging by the trajectory, it should take but a step to get into position to intercept the ball. Due to the force of the strike, considerable force must be used to stop it, as well as the correct angle to pass it to the closest teammate. Alpha 001 takes its step and brings its arms down in order to bump the ball towards James, saying “Mine.” as it had heard the female human opponent say.

Try as he might, Red Team scored another point. A whistle was blown and the ref spoke. "Point, Red Team. Next to serve, Blue team." Grabbing the ball, the ref threw it over to someone on the blue team.

Well, looked like the other team was in the lead, sadly. So far, this game was not going the way she’d wanted it to, but hopefully, the tide could just as easily be swayed back in their favor. Poor Alpha failed terribly, but she also got a lot of insight about the other team as well. The only girl on the team seemed to be guarded by one of the other men on the team but known by another as well.

The dog huffed softly as she picked up the ball and gave a sharp look over to the other team, a competitive glare given to them as she went to serve it over the net.

Yvoltl would see the heavy serve inbound from the blue side as his eyes grew big as it came soaring over to their side of the net he would dash to try and return the serve. As he got in range of the ball he would position himself under it going from the return hit throwing all his strength into it.

The Whistle will blow again shortly after the most recent one. Standing up, the ref will go grab the ball from Red team and speak. "Blue team gets first point. Congrats Blue team. Red Team Serve." Looking at the red team (with their six players instead of seven now), he'll throw the ball to them in order for them to serve again.
