Silky would continue to work on cooking the chicken parm, keeping her eye on the details. She was determined to get this right. The thought of an angry snake-man slithering behind her loomed in the back of her mind. All this, and her inner demon's silence. It was unsettling that the demon spirit living in her was staying quiet, perhaps it was watching her struggle? Who knew.

Lord help them all. This was a disaster. And yet all she could do was laugh about the situation. ”Do you think if we disconnect the gas line and light this place up, will the chicken at least be cooked?” She joked. Rune wasn’t an arsonist, not by a long shot and not since her much younger days, but still. The dog moved faithfully to Silky’s side where she shook her head slightly. ”If we present them with this, that snake man will come back and shout at us again. We can’t be kicked out of here just yet. At least not without our pay.” Her voice turned soft, almost motherly as she snuggled against Silky’s back. Moving around her, Rune set to fixing the mistakes Silky had made while talking her through some of the steps.

This was a complete disaster. Nothing was going according to plan, and everything was falling apart around them. At this rate, whether Rune was serious about cutting the gas line or not, it looked as if the restaurant was about to go up in flames! Where did all their cooking mojo go, anyway? “Alright, nobody panic.” Salem told the other two, clearly panicking and was probably the only one doing so in retrospect. “We just have to focus… Let's work on salvaging what we have left and then finishing up the rest. One thing at a time.” His eyes darted back and forth between all the food they had ready to make. Silky and Rune had double teamed on the Chicken Parm but alas, that only seemed to have made things worse.

“...eep…” Salem mustered as he watched all their efforts on that front vanish before his very eyes. Oh God, he didn't want that Gorgon to come back here and turn him into stone… maybe he can fix this. Maybe with the cannoli? Maybe that would placate the customers enough…

The smell of smoke filled the air and you know very shortly that snake is going to come back. There is no helping it. In a flash, he comes back in, eyes set on that chicken parm once again. "Are you bloody mental?! What is this? What the fuck did you do? I have seen dog food less dry than this. Likely tastes better than that the monstrosity you put up here. And what's this? You...you burned the cream? Are you out of your bloody mind? Both of you are Idiots. No. I will not stand for this. This is the second time you have failed this dish. You. Boy. Your Cannoli try looks fantastic. Why don't you try your hand at this? Maybe someone on this bloody team can get this dish right. Tweedledee , go start working on the other Cannolis. Tweedledum, you start on the Spaghetti. Or help with the Cannolis. Just stop burning things." His snakes here agitated, he was agitated, but he was going to leave it at that. Honestly, you got a much nicer version your second go around.

[Silky Everflame]

As the snake man proceeded to scream at them, Silly's honeyed yellow eyes would glaze over. Inside of her head a soft voice would growl. Inside of her mind she could feel anger seething through her usually peaceful thoughts. Silky wasn't angry, in fact she wasn't even upset. The angry man was kinda funny at first, making jokes about their cooking failures. After all, she felt pretty silly for making such rookie mistakes. This feeling of failure upset her more then anything. However, the voice inside of her head was not pleased with the way the Gorgon spoke to the one who housed it's soul. With a hiss, the voice deep down inside of her would unleash a torrent of insults. Even being so bold as to question what snake tastes like once cooked to perfection. Inside she battled with the voice, trying to calm it down, while listening to her 'boss.'

Clearing her throat Silky would snap out of her thoughts, looking at the snake make. As he finished screaming at them, she would bow her entire upper half of her body, her gentle voice was meek and entirely non threatening. "Ye..Yes sir, I'm sorry. I'll try harder!" Raising herself back up she wouldn't make eye contact with him, in fear of being turned into stone. (Something she remembers reading in a book.)

Once he left, Silky would turn looking to Rune and Salem, her eyes were big trying to fight off a few tears that attempted to well up in her eyes. On her arms were Goosebumps. "Wooooaaaahh... Scary... So scary..." Wiping her eyes on the back of her arm she would shake off her chills. Snakes were scary to Silky. She didn't trust them with their (so she thinks) slimy skin, and beady eyes. Everything about them grossed her out. The way they crawled across the ground without noise, how they swallowed their food. Yuck. It was gross! Once her eyes were dry, yet a bit red now, she would shake her head. "I'll go ahead and stick with the second batch of Cannolis... You guys go ahead and make the food. I.. I'm sorry I screwed up..." Her cheeks were flushed, a bit embarrassed by the failure.


Heading to the sink she would wash up again, including her face with cold water. And start on the second round of the sweet fried goods. Hopefully she would be able to do what she was good at, trying not to let the spooky snake man bother her too much,
