Appearance: Cassia stands at a medium height at 5'8". Very thin for her height, she is still generously curvy and lightly toned. Her skin has an olive tint to it, but she mostly stays out of the sun, causing her to stay very fair. 
Her nails are sharpened to a point and almost always painted in metals.
She has sparse tattoos along her arms and back, but only has her first holes in her ears pierced,

Personality: Though sometimes quick to anger, her age and experiences have taught her to keep calm in most situations. Her moral code is rather gray, though, and she has no qualms about skinning you alive without thinking twice about it.
Family matters more to her than anything else and she will do everything in her power to keep those who matter safe, and exact revenge on those who have harmed those she loves.


History: 
Cassia grew up as the eldest (legitimate) daughter of the rulers of Rolland. She was prepared from day one to someday take over the throne, and she cared for her community more than anything. 
At 10, her mother gave birth to a son, Siegfried, who was adored by their parents just as much as their daughter. Cassia barely let him out of her sight, and as he grew up, the pair became thick as thieves.




When she became of age, her parents offered her to a high-ranking Hellkin, a friend of her fathers, to complete her rite of passage and solidify her immortality. Having imagined from childhood that her first would be with a man she cared for, Cassia tried to deny him, tried to fight him off, but to no avail. He was far stronger than she, and the thought of disgracing her parents or dying early forced her to keep quiet and wait for it to end. 
The affair was violent, and left a young Cassia shaken, volatile and rather unfriendly to most, and pregnant. After carrying it to term, Cassia gave up the child, unable to look at it any longer.




She put herself full force into learning from her parents after that, utterly devoted to learning what would be necessary to rule. She took time to travel as allowed, and nurtured her abilities to their fullest potential. 




She eventually became rather close with a pair of brothers, Dalton and Notlad Blane. The pair competed constantly for her affections, eventually succumbing to Notlad's courting. The two were to be wed, and Cassia was preparing to take over the Rolland throne. 
In her panic of everything in her life changing so suddenly, she paid Dalton a visit one evening without giving it much thought. 




Cassia kept this betrayal to herself; she knew the child growing within her did not belong to the man who was ready to raise him, but she would take that secret to her grave, and forbid Dalton from ever speaking of the occurrence.


Cassia gave birth to a son, Lumis, and she loved him more than she thought possible.
As the years passed, she raised her son in the customs of Rolland, never once letting Notlad, or anyone for that matter in on her best kept secret. The boy looked enough like him, the question never came. 
She busied herself in running her country, in caring for her people and keeping them safe from any outside harm.




One night, Cassia found herself faced with a rather vivid nightmare. Destruction; A crimson-shadowed exile ascending the throne, overthrowing Lumis' rule; The death of her only son, causing an end to her line. 
Cassia woke in a cold sweat, alerting her husband to the vision that overtook her. Together they went to their most trusted advisors; keeping it enough of a secret so as not to cause mass panic.
However, with no exile in sight, the threat was not imminent.




Cassia continued raising her son, Notlad by her side the whole way, even more wary of any outsiders.
After many years of preparation, Cassia handed her throne off to her son, her brother Siegfried standing at Lumis' right hand and offering his protection.




Lumis brings home a woman one day, Kyzah, and claims her as his wife. He confides in Cassia that she is not Hellkin, but Ancient, and Cassia swears to keep it to herself. 
The pair conceive a daughter, Scarletta, and continue ruling the country without much strife. Eventually, Kyzah gives birth to a son, Cornelius. 




After much fighting on the surface, Lumis enlists the help of a former exile, Carzeah, to end the wars. 
Cassia watches from the sidelines as this man rises through the ranks, an uneasy feeling in her stomach, but has no choice but to let the hand play out. What could she say?
After many years, Carzeah and Scarlet marry. She gives birth to a son, and are wed.
Cassia relaxes, assuming she was wrong about this man. Truly, he can't be all that bad, right?
However, at the time of Renalt's coming of age, there is a miscommunication. Carzeah and Lumis, both too stubborn to admit defeat, allow Renalt to live on without performing is Rite, and as such he dies suddenly. 
After many disagreements between the men, there are whispers of a coup. 


After many years of war, Lumis' side was nearly diminished. Her husband among the dead, she watched eventually as Carzeah killed her only son; effectively crowning himself as the new Darkness.
Cassia was overcome by her rage over her lost son, and challenged Carzeah. But she was sloppy; grief-stricken; and Carzeah was able to get the upper hand. He could have made an example of her; should have. But he spared her- tossed her out of their community and left her to rot. 




She kept her head down for a while, quietly gathering her strength and then leaving the island to travel the world.
She traveled by foot, mostly, and then by boat. She experienced many different lands, and languages, foods, and cultures; but never dared stay in the same city longer than a week. 


She eventually found her way to Twin City, and registered under the guise of being a demon, and found a job with the Rossis.
