Personality: Tired, Irritable and a very jaded cynic, James has seen the worst the city has to offer, murder, drugs, human/supernatural being trafficking all the way down to domestic violence. He is slow to believe anyone is as innocent as they appear. While not prejudiced against the various other beings that inhabit the city( Indeed as a law officer he has sworn to serve and protect), He understands that his abilities as a human are far outstripped by many of the criminals he deals with and is always careful.

History: A young human born in Twin City to a family of Military background, James always wondered at the numerous amazing beings that inhabited the city. His family did face a fair amount of prejudice as part of the human minority, and he was sometimes bullied in school. This caused him to learn to fight back, even though he was often outmatched. His family always enjoyed Cop Dramas on Television and after years watching them with his family, he began to romanticize the law enforcement life, the respect that even a human could gain as a law enforcement officer. He enlisted the day he turned 18.

He spent several years as a beat cop, Handling all sorts of calls, from domestic violence, to shots fired, to vehicular accidents. The life of a beat cop was not as glamorous as the Television dramas had made it appear, but his hard earned grit caused him to stick with it, and after 7 years working the beat, he took, and passed his Detectives test, earning his gold shield. Taking on harder and more gruesome investigations, James is currently assigned to Homicide, where his grit and experience hardened him into a cynic, often working from early to very late, causing him to become irritable from lack of sleep.
